Life Happenings

A few random updates!

Baby girl #3 is due in just about a month - May 30th! The girls can hardly wait :) I am feeling great. Two or three times a week, I go to a step aerobics class at the Y. I've even mowed the grass a few times in the past couple weeks! We are onto weekly doctor appointments. Everything is looking great. Our little baby frequently has the hiccups and is all knees and elbows at this point.
Madelyn loves to sit on my lap with the baby.

Getting Out!

It is spring, so we get out as much as possible. We love to visit local parks. A couple of our favorites are Miami Whitewater and Smale, but we are always trying to find new places to explore!

Learning about metamorphasis
Feeding Lily

Trying our new tag-a-long bike at Sharon Woods. Both girls love towing behind Will. We can make our own train by adding the bike trailer to the tag-a-long!

Butterflies of the Caribbean at Krohn Conservatory (Cincinnati City Parks) with Mar-Mar, Holly, Henry, and Sawyer. Elsie could have stayed all day!

And when we aren't busy exploring the city, we love getting out in our own backyard!
They figured out how to work together to get it going!

Maturing

Madelyn is putting together more phrases, to the point where we can ask her to use words instead of motions / yells. Elsie is becoming more "snuggly" without encouragement.

They are both playing together better than ever, to the point where we can leave them alone in the room for several minutes, an amount which is proportional to the next bedtime or snack time.

It dawned on Jill to make dirt for dessert the other night. These two ate it up... ;)

Snow Week

Lots of snow and bitter cold are the mother of ingenuity in entertaining kids! It was nice to get to spend some unexpected days with the kids just having as much fun as we could each day.

Travelling

We all just got back from a busy couple days of traveling. I was in Sandusky for school from Wednesday evening until Friday evening. Then Saturday morning we packed everyone up, dropped the kids at my parents, and Jill & I spent the day and night in Nashville for Veronica's birthday.

The girls did very well with Baba & Baby, Madelyn only getting upset on Sunday when it was time for a nap.

Absence does make the heart grow fonder.

Litter

Elsie and I scoured the hedge on West Fork near our house for litter this afternoon, something I've been wanting to do for a long time. She really got in to finding garbage and paths through the "woods."

I didn't take any pictures because I was completely enthralled with watching her. But we did get ice cream!

Madelyn Turns 2

I've really called her two for several months now. Maybe it's her personality. Either way, I put together an album covering her past year. What a dramatic difference a year makes!

And for a fun read, here's the post covering her Mad Dash Out.

Happy Birthday!
