We spent 2 hours tonight putting together this dresser for Dangerette. I don't like putting together puzzles, but putting together furniture is pretty gratifying. ESPECIALLY when you know it's because there's a baby about 9 weeks away!
We've registered at Bethesda North, and thankfully one of my basketball players' mom is a nurse there. That means she can put in requests for us to get nurses who are better at helping through natural childbirth than others; something I'll be greatful for. I'm learning alot in the Bradley classes, but holy wow there's just alot of knowing to do before this happens.
On the same note, we had an appointment on Thursday, but the wretched snow had other plans. It was rescheduled for tomorrow.
Baby showers are being planned, and last minute man-cations are also being planned. I'm asking the universe to give us good weather starting in early March so a camping trip to the Gorge is possible.
The stage of getting to wait just wait patiently and be excited is coming to and end. Now it's time to actually get to do something and be excited.

Nesting
We've begun the process of actually rearranging the house. There was a bed in Dangerette's room that's now in the basement, and a futon in the office that also in the basement. Now Jill's desk, which was in the basement, is in the office; perhaps Will's biggest sacrifice to date. We're trying to decide which of the two to keep. We don't usually have overnight company often, and the futon can act as a bed, so the bed is losing the battle.
We're also deciding where to stick the dog cage(s) because the dog's room is now the Dangerette's room. They'll probably end up in the basement with the futon.
And most excitingly, we painted the nursery. The color is called "Jamaican Bay," which I thought should be called "Jamaican a Baybay."
Yesterday we explored Ikea looking for chests for Dangerette's room. We found a couple that we liked and wanted to take advantage of their "sale" in which you can deduct the price of any food that you buy from a furniture purchase, but we're not 100% sold on a chest yet. Their ribs and swedish meatballs were good though.
Lastly, Bradley Method classes are going well. Last night's was "Complications and Interventions," something that was unnerving to sit through and downright nauseating when it got to the diagrams showing needles (for one of us at least). But they're DEFINITELY educational and I'd 100% encourage anyone expecting or planning to be expecting to take them.

Baby Registry
With a tad less than 3 months to go we (and by 'we' I mean I considered Will while making these choices and let him shoot the registry gun at Target) have our registries lined up! A lot of what we want is online. We could have registered at 6 places around town to find all the goodies we had in mind, but instead found an awesome online registry where it can all be found at one place! Click on the store/site name to access the registry!
(Note: Registry process still in progress)
Target: some basics and good for those who aren't comfortable with online shopping
BabyEarth: my favorites!
This is where you can find a lot of items that would be found in specialty baby shops around town. Includes anything from shoes to toys to diapering to furniture. Warning: we do plan on using both cloth and disposable diapers - so there are CLOTH diapers on the registry!
Land of Nod: childrens division of Crate and Barrel. If you are lucky, you live in a city where you can walk into this store. If you live in Cincinnati, you're not so lucky :(
**Main location of baby room organization and bedding. Along with some other fun odds and ends :)
